  • IMES was founded and is directed by William R. Brown, M.D., Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado, USA. He is former head of the School’s Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
  • Dr. Brown has over 45 years’ experience in medical education, medical writing, and clinical and basic research. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and reviews. He has been an editor, editorial board member, and reviewer for several major medical journals and books. About 50 of Dr. Brown’s publications are co-authored with Asian investigators. He has  edited more than 100 articles for ESL writers, with an acceptance rate of greater than 90% by peer-review journals. He has published in prestigious journals such as Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Biological Chemistry, American Journal of Physiology, Journal of Immunology, Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, Gastroenterology, and Nature.
